【大安溪峽谷-台灣新峽谷】

<P><STRONG><FONT color=blue size=4>大安溪，全長 96公里 ，流域面積758平方公里。源於雪山山脈之大霸尖山，在臺中縣大安鄉出海，注入台灣海峽。 </FONT></STRONG></P>

<P><STRONG><FONT color=blue size=4>台中縣東勢鎮與苗栗縣卓蘭鎮交界的大安溪，經九二一大地震的「擠壓」、加上近年颱風豪雨沖刷，下切出一個深達十多公尺、全長約 三百公尺 的「大安溪峽谷」，氣勢磅礡、溪水清澈。 </FONT></STRONG></P>

<P><STRONG><FONT color=blue size=4>台灣地震頻仍、河水湍急，特殊氣候及地理環境，形成不少峽谷地形，除已名列世界級景觀的太魯閣峽谷外，竹山太極峽谷、高雄縣世紀大峽谷都遠近馳名，今年初南投縣也發現一處水雕峽谷，大安溪峽谷再添新景觀。 </FONT></STRONG></P>
