<P><STRONG>（法新社摩斯比港16日電） 美國地質調查所（USGS）表示，規模6.3強震今天侵襲南太平洋的巴布亞紐幾內亞（Papua New Guinea），但當局未發布海嘯警報或發布損害報告。</STRONG></P>
<P><BR><STRONG>USGS表示，這起強震於當地時間凌晨1時09分（格林威治標準時間15日15時09分）侵襲新不列顛島（NewBritain Island）海岸外以西約3公里處，震源深度192公里。</STRONG></P>
